About
Kay Anderson
For over 40 years, I worked in the fashion industry, in haute couture and ready to wear, as a designer and pattern cutter.
As a writer and lecturer I travelled the world, helping to inspire the next generation of fashion designers. Along the way, I created educational projects for a leading international haberdashery company and my ribbon weaving designs and techniques appeared in many sewing magazines, including Vogue Patterns.
Bringing fashion design to a traditional area of haberdashery was ahead of its time and I am privileged to be credited with helping develop this fusion of fashion and haberdashery techniques, which is now taught across the world.
My home now is Stratford-Upon-Avon, where I continue to share my skills and experience with the Arts Society and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, supporting unique projects for the benefit of future generations.
